Spritual Stewards

After years of contriving solutions to the world's problems, David finally hit “rock bottom.” He did not know what to do in a world where the problems seemed so large and the suffering so rampant. There was a distinct moment after a somewhat successful, yet contrived attempt to end the food waste problem in Philadelphia when he gave up and called on God with his intention:

“I don’t know what to do, but I want to use my talents, skills, and abilities in the best possible way for the highest possible good.”

This surrender immediately set in motion an unbelievable journey where a man with very little money or resources was able to acquire and preserve 131 acres of beautiful land along the Catawissa Creek after years of training, venturing, and following the divine call to each step.

Anne had a similar moment of surrender, faith, and divine manifestation that propelled her out of the corporate fashion world in New York City and into her true alignment. She had reached her career goals and set her home in a place with easy access to the mountains for weekend hikes. But she still felt a looming contrast between her heart’s calling of creativity and being in nature versus how her current life was unfolding. In a final moment of fully embracing the unknown path of her heart, she looked to the setting sun over the Hudson River and proclaimed:

“God, I cannot do this another day, so please put me in the place I am supposed to be.”

Fatefully, she never had to return, because the next day marked the beginning of the COVID shutdowns. Soon after, she crossed paths with David in the Delaware Water Gap, and the two realized they had finally found their person, and their divine mission began to truly blossom.

They have spent every moment together since that fateful crossing, restoring and stabilizing the infrastructure of the property, stewarding the soil, and co-creating with their animal and plant companions. They constantly attune to the highest possible good with their intention and continually follow the call to divine service where they are needed.
