Light Catchers
We gather celestial light with everything that grows on the farm. We believe that this light is sacred and aiding humanity's ascension journey by sending higher and higher frequencies to Earth for us to integrate and diffuse. This light also transmutes and infuses earthly minerals into edible, medicinal plants that spread this light to humanity.
When we seed our own curated selection of herbs, or forage the wild landscape we believe our intention is known by the plants to gather as much of this celestial influence as possible. These herbs are all grown, harvested, processed, packed and shipped by our own hands, and at each step in the process we infuse them with our own love and light to ensure the highest vibrational herbal products possible.
Everything we do is to preserve humanity’s sacred bond with the Earth through our stewardship and co creative practices. We will never be a farm focused on extraction, there is a balance to find and dialogue to be had as we integrate ourselves into the landscape.
Thankfully, our soil is abundant and we grow perennial and biennial herbs to reduce tillage, erosion and preserve the diversity of life that naturally wants to grow. We believe this is a more thoughtful investment into the land than what we had previously done as a certified organic vegetable farm. This was a useful step in establishing ourselves in the community, but it was never the end goal and we are happy to evolve into a more sustainable relationship with the land each season.
Our fence lines are overgrown, the fields are “weedy” but we will never use sprays, synthetic fertilizers or plastic mulch. We tactically weed, grow things that rise above and shade them out, or mulch with wood chips from our own property. Laying hens and cover crops fertilize our fields when they are resting from production as we move them across to reduce bug pressure, and abundantly fertilize the field. What grows after chickens pass through is truly astonishing from a pasture management perspective, let alone a “cash crop” and we are grateful for their help in the co-creation of our products.
Where soil and light are made one: Our process deriving whole herb extracts
When light hits the leaves and the roots draw up minerals from the soil, a natural alchemy takes place. The soil and light are made one. Transmuted into edible, medicinal, beautiful life that we honor by using the whole plant to capture all the soluble beneficial compounds. This means you get the complete range of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and other phytonutrients that are soluble to our base oil (or fat).
These oils are then used by themselves, or in skincare products such as salves, and creams. We bless these oils and products with our light at each step of the way with our guiding intention: .. “For the highest possible good”
